Saturday evening, the association of the Théâtre du Fossé César de Nouzilly received the troupe from the Atelier des Actes, which presented their play,  A landscape on the grave. The text, written in 1994 by Fanny Mentré, plunges the viewer into the theme developed by the author.  : the difficulty of communication between humans, at all ages, especially in urban areas. The bias to challenge the viewer makes the text sometimes abrupt to understand. However, its mastery by the actors nevertheless makes it possible not to get lost in the many messages, delivered over the sketches. Sexual assault on a child, meaning of life, language incomprehension, poverty, death… Nothing will be spared to the public. Also, the meticulous staging, as well as a controlled dose of cynical humor allows the viewer to avoid getting tired of the tragic dimension of the whole. Inhabited by the nothingness of their history, stuck in an existential crisis that the different stages of life fail to annihilate, the characters ultimately become more and more endearing. Associated with a minimalist decor but with cleverly studied verticality, whose spaces clearly stigmatize the void, the staging of Alain Destouches makes the show oscillate between  Game over  by Samuel Beckett and a painting by Edward Hopper. A harsh but very successful show, thanks to actors, admittedly amateurs but talented. They invited the Nouzillais public to share their impressions, at the end of a performance that was applauded for a long time. Woody Allen would not have denied the evening, he who declared that, finally,  "  life is a disease, sexually transmitted, and constantly fatal ...  "
